TREBLE begeleidt Martin Glas bij overname van Wimmer Glas en Glas Ambulance

With the acquisition of Wimmer Glas and Glasambulance/Slot Ambulance, Martin Glas expands its presence into three new regions, resulting in an organization with nine branches and 180 employees.

The acquisition marks an important step for Martin Glas, which 205 years after its founding is steadily on its way to achieving national coverage as a leading glass wholesaler.

Comprehensive glass service

Managing Director Michel van Velsen emphasizes that the cooperation enables Martin Glas to operate more efficiently. It also leads to a broader product range and improved service. “Each branch adds unique expertise,” he says. “This allows us to respond even better to our customers’ needs and offer a full range of glass services.”

Three pillars Martin Glas

Combining three pillars, Martin Glas serves both traditional and digital customers:

  • Sales and distribution of a wide range of glass in all shapes and sizes
  • Professional installation of glass on location
  • Online sales through Glasdiscount.nl and GlasGigant.nl

“We are thus responding to the growing demand for total solutions in the glass industry, whether it is a single window or a large-scale construction project,” said Van Velsen.

Strategic addition

The acquisition adds three new branches to Martin Glas’s network, bringing the total number of locations to nine. In addition to the existing branches in Eindhoven, Ede, Heesch, Helmond, Nieuwegein, Werkendam and Loenen, Wimmer Glas in Haelen (Central Limburg) and Glasambulance in Grave (Rivierenland) will now also become part of the company. Van Velsen states: “With this expansion, together with our online platforms Glasdiscount.nl and GlasGigant.nl, we are building a strong national network.”

Ambitious future

Toon van Moorsel, co-owner of Martin Glas, emphasizes the importance of a solid economic base: “A healthy economic base is crucial to keep innovating. This milestone strengthens our market position considerably We consciously choose to cooperate with trusted names in their region. This development fits perfectly with our ambition to grow into a leading national brand in the glass industry.”
